Subject :    Request for consideration of regular promotion to PS Gr. B cadre ... Case of Shri S. Karunakarn, PM (HSG-I IP Line) Dindigul HO (Tamil Nadu).

Respected Madam,                                                  

          I am enclosing copy of a representation dated 11/7/2013 received from Shri V. Karunakaran, Postmaster (HSG-I IP Line) Dindigual HO (TN) regarding non selection in PS Gr. B cadre.    

          Shri V. Karunakarn presently working as Postmaster (HSG-I IP Line) at Dindigual HO (Tamil Nadu) belongs to IPO of 1984 batch, but could not be selected for promotion to PS Gr. B cadre in the DPC held on 12/10/2010, as a case was contemplated against him. The finding of DPC in respect of this officer was kept in sealed cover. Hon’ble Special Court Madurai vide their judgement in CC No. 4/2009 has acquitted the officer in judgement pronounced on 28/11/2011. In view of the court order, CPMG Tamil Nadu has referred his case duly recommended to the Directorate for promotion to PS Gr. B cadre.  

          It was expected that above named officer will find placed in review DPC held on 6/12/2013, but only the names of S/Shri Bhgwat Prasad and P. M. Parmar has been considered by the Directorate.  It is therefore urged upon to look into the matter and arrange to pass an order to open the sealed cover of above officer and place him in the selection list of PS Gr. B cadre immediately.
