All the members are requested to see the reply given by Directorate on item No. 5 i.e. Clarification on merger of Inspector Posts and Assistant Superintendents Posts cadre.
Item No 5: It is a crucial situation where in there cannot be consensus among all the ASPs. Some ASPs (especially senior most ASPs who are drawing 4800 GP ) want to retain the status of Gazetted some others (mostly junior ASPs) want to forgo the status. The Directorate is throwing the ball in our court. There can be one solution. Let those who want to retain the status, retain with them and for all others there can be a merger of cadre. And hence forth (i.e., after merger of the cadre) there may not be any gazetted status for any one. This will be on par with any other Central Govt Departments. And this I think is a n amicable solution. This will also help us to fight for GP on par with any other Departments, which is deprived of now. ASP, Haveri Sub Dn, Haveri.
