Decision of recasting-revised result of LDCE for the promotion to the cadre of PS Gr. B for the year 2012...an update

Directorate vide letter dated 13th August, 2013 ordered to delete / drop the following questions from Paper-I and Paper-II of the PS Gr. B Examination for the year 2012 held on 3/6/2012 and also decided to evaluate the question papers accordingly and recast the result.

Reiteration of Guidelines on RTI Act 2005.

Copy of Directorate Memo No. 105-3/2013-RTI dated 2/8/2013 is reproduced below:
Subject : Reiteration of Guidelines on RTI Act 2005.

          This is in continuation of DDG (PG, QA & Insp) DO letter No. 105-3/2013-RTI dated 16th July 2013 regarding inadequate guidance given by CAPIOs to the RTI requesters in respect of their RTI applications. It was instructed that the CAPIOs should follow the guidelines mentioned at the departmental web site at the addresshttp://www.indiapost.gov.in/RTIManual17.aspx.

          It is informed that the CAPIOs may also be instructed to follow the guidelines available at DOPT web site at http://persmin.gov.in/dopt.asp under “A Guide for information seekers under The Right for information Act 2005”. Particular attention of CAPIOs is also invited to instructions at paras 11-16 of the “A Guide for information under The Right for information Act 2005” that covers inter-alia the method for seeking information and also details about fee for seeking information.

Post Bank of India will be set up - MoS in Loksabha

       
      Department of Posts has proposed to set up a Post Bank of India. This will be an independent entity, separate from the current operations of Small savings Schemes being carried out by the Department on behalf of Ministry of Finance. The Department of Posts has accordingly submitted an application to the RBI on 28.06.2013 seeking a banking license subject to necessary Cabinet approvals.

 The details of financial services offered by the Post offices at present are as below:-

 (1) Small Savings Schemes of Government of India (on behalf of Ministry of Finance)  :
 
(i) Post Office Savings Account

(ii) Post Office Time Deposit Account

(iii) Post Office Recurring Deposit Account

(iv) Post Office Monthly Income Account

(v) Senior Citizens Savings Scheme Account

(vi) Public Provident Fund Account

(vii) National Savings Certificates (VIII) and (IX) issue

(2) Money Remittances :

(i) Money Order-Domestic

(ii) Instant Money Order- Domestic (through selected post offices)

(iii) Western Union Money Remittances –International Inward (through selected post offices)

(iv) MoneyGram Money Remittances –International Inward (through selected post offices)

(v) Money Order Videsh- International Inward and Outward (through selected post offices)

(vi) Electronic International Money Order Service-Inward (through selected post offices)
