Kannada Writer and one of the most acclaimed public intellectuals in the country, Dr U R Ananthamurthy passed away at a private hospital in Bangalore on Friday. He was 82.

Holiday today
Karnataka State Government has declared a holiday on Saturday for all goverment offices, schools, colleges and universities following death of Dr U R Ananthamurthy
